Auto Reset Channel
Since 0.3.x, on mount the chatbot first checks the channel metadata, then decides:
- The channel already exists on the backend → it is always restored (the server transcript is replayed), regardless of
autoResetChannel. - The channel does not exist yet → follow
autoResetChannel: the defaulttruedispatchesRESET_CHANNELfor a fresh conversation;falseskips the reset and preserves the messages you pass viainitMessages(useful for demos or client-side restore of a saved conversation).
Code Example
<Chatbot
autoResetChannel={false}
initMessages={savedHistory}
{...rest}
/>
