Integration path
From zero to live
Follows the DevDocs integration guide
- 01
Choose an integration pattern
Decide how your app connects to Asgard: Hosted Embed, Direct Connect, Workflow Auth or Backend Relay. - 02
Build the bot in Odin
Design the conversation, from a simple Hello to an LLM-backed chatbot, then set the model it uses. - 03
Publish and get credentials
Publish the bot as a Bot Provider to get an endpoint and API key. Keep the API key on the server, never in front-end code. - 04
Connect with the SDK
With the endpoint and credentials, connect your front end or backend using @asgard-js/core or @asgard-js/react. - 05
Handle streaming replies
Replies arrive as SSE events. Understand the event sequence before deciding how the screen shows it. - 06
Design the reply
Bot replies use message templates — text, buttons, carousels, charts and more — rendered by the front end.
npm install @asgard-js/core @asgard-js/react- @asgard-js/core
- Wraps REST requests and manages authentication and endpoints. Handles SSE streaming, with built-in channel sessions for multi-turn conversations.
- @asgard-js/react
- A ready-made Chatbot component and hooks. Adjust theme, locale, size, header and message rendering, or build your own interface.
- Live demos
- Each feature is a working demo: embedding, theming, file upload, tool calls, thinking steps, stop generation and more.
X-API-KEY: your-api-key-here- Start · reset
- Open or reset a conversation channel.
- Send a message
- Send the user's message and receive agent replies and system events over SSE.
- Upload files
- Upload a file, or attach files and send a message.
- Examples
- Sending messages, streaming replies, knowledge-base queries and webhook integration, each in cURL, JavaScript and Python.
API keys are created in your project settings on the Asgard platform. A key is a credential. Keep it on the server.

MIT-licensed MCP servers and skills
- MCP servers
- Standard interfaces that let agents reach outside systems and data. Odin can connect third-party MCP servers directly.
- Skills
- Reusable skills that agents use to complete specific tasks.
- Solution packs
- Plugins compose into industry solution packs, such as Smart Manufacturing, Hospitality Operations and Brand Media & PR.
- Example
- Heimdall MCP Server.
