Dropbox
System integration
Lets the Agent read Dropbox: look at the files while designing, then search a folder with a shared account or copy it every few hours.
Documentation
Lets Asgard Agents read documents in Dropbox: the organization's shared quotes, SOPs, contract templates, and product catalogs. Read-only: it never changes files. Works with both personal Dropbox and Dropbox Business (teams).
Supported uses
| Use | What it does |
|---|---|
| Design time | While the deployment is being designed, the FDE Agent first looks at the Dropbox: which folders there are, how files are named, and what is in them |
| Shared account | Once live, the Agent searches and reads one chosen folder with a shared account (e.g. an organization account; a dedicated system account is best). The account's keys stay on the platform, out of reach of end users and the AI |
| Copy instead (consider this first) | The chosen folder is copied into Asgard every few hours, and the Agent browses the copies directly, with no tools to build |
Letting each end user (e.g. members of the organization) connect their own Dropbox account and read only their own files is not in this version yet.
What you need
- A Dropbox app (App key and App secret). If there isn't one, the FDE Agent walks you through creating it in the Dropbox Developer Console step by step (about 10 minutes, no coding).
- Shared account: a Dropbox account that can see that folder, ideally a dedicated system account.
- On Dropbox Business, if the team admin restricts third-party apps, the admin needs to allow this one.
