Airtable

System integration

Lets the Agent look up and update records in Airtable bases with one shared access token, after the FDE Agent has looked at the bases while designing.

Documentation

Lets Asgard Agents look up records in Airtable bases (filter, sort, read one record) and update the fields that were agreed on in advance. Before the Agent updates anything, the user is asked to approve it in the conversation.

Supported uses

Use What it does
Design time While the deployment is being designed, the FDE Agent first looks at the bases: which tables and fields there are, how many records, and how the fields are used
Shared account Once live, the Agent looks up and updates records with one shared access token (e.g. one belonging to an organization account). The token only reaches the bases it was given; end users and the Agent never see it

Each end user connecting their own Airtable account is not in this version yet.

What you need

  • An Airtable account that can open the bases the Agent should use. A separate account for the Agent is recommended (e.g. an organization account that the bases are shared with), because record history shows changes under the account that created the token
  • A personal access token created from that account, limited to those bases (the FDE Agent walks you through it step by step, about 5 minutes)
  • Which tables the Agent may read, and which fields it may change
